At James Mahon & Sons we believe in living and working in harmony the wildlife on our farms, and every effort is made to encourage and sustain habitats in order to promote a wide range of species across all our farms.

 

Our ‘No-Till’ system allows us to sow seeds directly into stubbles which in turn reduces carbon loss, increases worm activity and improves all-round soil health.

 

As well as non-inversion tillage, at James Mahon & Sons we utilise various other conservation measures such as wild bird mixes, cover cropping, bufferstrips and skylark plots to promote habitats on our farms for bird life and insects.
